OUR TOMOE GROUP HISTORY

1950      Tomoe Shokai Co., Ltd. is established. Begins sales of specalized gases. 

1959      Begins sales of propane gas. 

1962      Begins import and sales of helium gas from Airco, America's largest 

              helium Supplier. 

1964     Becomes first company to sell liquid helium in the Kanto region, 

              accounting   for 50% of domestic demand. Begins import of hydrocarbon

              gases. 

1965      Receives supply of silane gas from Komatsu Electronic Metals Co., Ltd., 

              for  commercial sales.  

1967      Succeeds in commercializing gases for sterilization in cooperation with   

              Showa Tansan Co., Ltd.    

1968      Establishes research laboratory in Yokohama, and builds Propane gas filling 

              station at the same time.  

1969      Begins import and sales of Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) from Imperial Chemical

              Industries (ICI) in the UK.  

1970      Establishes Japan Helium Center with joint capital from Nippon Sanso Corp.

              and America's Airco, and begins helium filling operations in Japan.  

              Establishes Japan Gas Co.,Ltd.  

1974      Develops of Hydrogen long-tube trailer in Japan. 

1976      Introduces Japan's first helium trailer. 

1978      Supplies hydrogen gas required for engine combustion testing at National 

              Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA).  

1980      Opens business office in Isehara City, begins production of dry ice.  

1981       Establishes K.K. Jyoban Helium Supply Center. 

1989      Establishes Thai-Japan Gas Co., Ltd. in Thailand. 

1995      Establishes Philipinas Trade Gas,Inc.  

1996      Establishes Vietnam Japan Gas JSC.

1998      Establishes Tomoe Transtech Specialty Gases Pte.Ltd. in Singapore. 

1999      Head office and Gas Terminal acquire ISO14001 certification.  

2000     Celebrates 50th anniversary.  

2001      Establishes Sterile Services (Singapore) Pte.Ltd.  

2002     Acquired the ISO 9001 certification at Technical Division.  Establishes 

              Shanghai Tomoe Gases Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China. 

2003     Acquired the ISO 14001 certification at Hitachinaka and other 35 branch 

               offices. 

2005     Establishes Siam Steri Services Co., Ltd. in Thailand 

2007     Establishes Tomoe Industrial Gas Malaysia Sdn.Bhd.  

2008     Establishes STT Co.,Ltd. with joint capital from Showa Tansan Co., Ltd. 

2009     Establishes Himeji Specialty Gases Center Co., Ltd.  

2012       Open Yokohama Gas Terminal(YGT) for global-supply infrastructure. 

               Establishes Tomoe Specialty Gas and Chemicals India Pvt.Ltd. in India. 

               Establishes Tomoe Vietnam Company Limited. in Vietnam. 

               Establishes PT. Samator Tomoe. in Indonesia.  

2015       Establishes Tomoe Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia. 

2016       Establishes TOMOE ASIA Co., Ltd. in Thailand.
